Just out of curiosity does anyone out there use incredimail?

I was using it via a Hotmail account but got an email to tell me there was an error and that i had to subscribe to Hotmail... I thought better of it so changed my account to Yahoo... But it's happened again... can you not have emails from a free account being transfered to incredimail?

Your help will be very much appreciated

I've used Incredimail free version in the past Angel but changed to their addon for Outlook because I had problems exporting my address book and messages. Nice backgrounds and emoticons though!

Incredimail is essentially much like any other POP3 email client like Outlook Express.

What's happened is that Hotmail has now updated their policy so that you cannot access your hotmail account via the standard POP3 protocol (ie: using incredimail or any other client like it)... You have to upgrade your account to do so...

My advice would be to consider thinking about a GMail account invite instead as those will work without an upgrade and can use POP3 ie: incredimail..

For now though.. your hotmail account is only accessible via a web browser...

Yeah i would have to agree... I do like my incredimail... especially for the emotions backgrounds & sounds... I find its great for sending emails for special ocassions to friends & family... or just for showing emotion... oh an also putting your piccies on your emails...

Does that mean you paid the £30 to upgrade?

That's a bit odd... I've being seeing the same thing recently with the system responding that I should upgrade as well...

Perhaps it works on a restricted basis with errors if you check too often.

It's a tough one though as Hotmail tell you one thing and yet there appear to be documented backdoor access points that still work...

On re-reading this thread though I've realised that the problem seems to relate to Incredimail itself as I originally read it as Hotmail being the problem and missed that you'd shifted across to Yahoo... Doh = moi! ...

No the Outlook addon is free too! Have a look on their website! I've been using it for a while. I even got an email from them asking why I had deleted the free version of incredimail.
