Anyone work or has worked for Insight in Sheffield? What did you think?

I've been invited to their Interview/Assessment Morning next week....

It will be sales based, the money seems good, no weekends or evenings....

Anyone have anything to say about Insight?

What are the people like there? Enviroment? etc

Thanks

I currently work for Insight at the moment - It's really good!

What position within sales will you be working in?

If you sell the right products you can earn good prizes!

This month so far I've won £100 bonusbonds, Apple iPod Shuffle, £20 Argos Voucher & 2 bottles of wine...

It says on a job advert they are after 60 sales staff- is it because of expansion or a high staff turnover?

We're expanding our SBA team. Insight have a very low staff-turnover.

I worked for insight for a while, on the sba team. It wasnt too good to be honest, I was told all these stories about winning holidays and cars and stuff but the best I got was a few bottles of wine and a ipod shuffle, i suppose its good to get incetives but they should just tell you its gonna be wine and chocolate!! dont get me wrong it was ok to work there but its too call centre like

I know it's an old post but I was looking to see what vacancies Phoenix might have but they don't seem to have them on their web site. Does anyone know where they advertise please.

I used to work for insight. I enjoyed my time there and I think its a good way to get into sales as the support and opportunities are good. I left because they are very insistent about the call stats and are big on micromanaging wich I believe makes sales staff more call monkeys as opposed to account managers. The company are very greedy as the put addders onto all products sold which means they make two per cent before you have even started. Which makes things difficult when its a tight margin business as it is. I moved to another reseller and love the freedom of no call stats and letting my GP justify my monthly performance rather than just calls. But as I said I did enjoy working there as my team was great and so was my manager.
