I am trying to trace my family tree and have problems on my mothers side. She died 12 yrs ago and was adopted. She never really spoke of her birth family and the problem we have now is that we don't know her surname. We have no records and do not know the whereabouts of any of her family. There was a sister lived not far from us but having gone to visit her she has moved!
She was born in 1938 presumably in Sheffield. She was christened Marguerita Irene but everyone called her Irene. She, we believe, had 4 sisters and 2 brothers. We know of Iris, Doreen, Gordon and i think John. She was adopted when she was around 8 yrs old by Ellen and Edwin Charlesworth and lived in Hillsborough later marrying and moved to Firth Park.
