Because every time anyone levels any criticism at the chairman, we have a sacrificial ceremony of a manager's head, to deflect it.

Thats what im doing but 17,000 keep going.Sturrock should never have gone,if he'd had the money he would have done a job for us.I've always said Allen should go and if he does sack Laws the least he can do is follow him out of the door.

Managing Sheffield Wednesday sounds like a decent job to me, 4 years pay for 6 months work, nearly as good as working for Mandaric

Thing is sacking BL won't actually acheive anything. The problems at S6 aren't his fault and getting rid of him won't solve them. You need some stability and continuity and the fans need to get behind the team and management and actually support them. What happens in the boardroom is seperate from whats happening on the pitch. BL is doing the best he can with the resources he has.

DA either needs to put some money in, walk or take responsibility for the state of the club. That said Wednesdayite aren't helping the situation.

BL is a decent manager in a horrible position. Let him do his thing and even if you go down - which you won't - give him time to realise his plans.

On a seperate note can you afford to sack him?

He's been trying to go. Unfortunately for everyone nobody will buy the club for only 30% of the total shares.

Laws can't be fired.

If he's fired, then we have to ask:

1. Who hired him?
2. Who set targets for him to achieve?
3. Who sold Laws's best players?
4. Who didn't give Laws the finances to replace those players?
5. Who sets the wage cap at Hillsborough?

If he gets fired, then the crieria for firing him, and the failure for him to reach that, lies firmly with DA.

Will DA then hold his hands up and admit that HE IS THE FAILURE?

If he had any dignity then he would. But I don't think he has any dignity, so I don't think he'll fire Laws.

Would Ron Dennis be correct to fire Lewis Hamilton if next year he said 'Lewis, you scored 90 points last year. We want 120 points this year. And by the way, we are taking one of your wheels off this year and replacing it with a large Swiss cheese.'?

I don't think DA will sack Laws, because I don't think he could find anyone stupid enough to replace him!!!

You could say the same about Turner or Sturrock. If i remember correctly Allen said if Turner failed and left the club he would go with him.Nice to see Gob****e Dave is a man of his word.:loopy:

I fear that recent incidents including calling a fan a "venemous bitch"
(are we to presume he thought she was hurling obscenities at him in the stand?) and others cretins (or whatever) and the club threatening litigation against people expressing an opinion, shows that he's had enough.
I suspect he'll do little but sit back and collect the interest on his loans.
A shame because he's the first director to put his money where his mouth is and at the end of the day the club and fans won't be any better off for it.

Frank's views are much the same as Brian Clough's would have been and pretty much bang on
