Hi Again!
We went to see Sheffield and saw lots of nice areas BUT we didn't go to Dore and I've just found a flat that looks fab & available immediately, so I was wondering if the area around Abbeydale Road South is nice, safe and with good bus services.
We need to move to Sheffield next weekend!
Thanks again!!!!!

All in all a good area to live in and quite sought after with a regular bus service into the city, the number 97 if I remember correctly.
The only disadvantage is if you don't have transport the nearest shops can seem quite a long way away.
Low crime rate and you don't see many people on foot so could feel slightly isolated.

There is a large Tescos and Sainsburys close to hand. The buses are 97 & 97A. If you fail to get a place let me know as soon as poss and I may be able to help out for a month or so.

Thanks for your replies!
Tomorrow, we'll be also looking at flats around the brincliffe/nether edge area (S11 I think it is). If we don't like any of them, I'll let you know garigon, thanks!!!

Abbeydale Road South is a sound area, as close to the Peak District as it is to the city centre.

Brincliffe can also be recommended

Dore also has a train stop - 5 mins to the city centre! Very pleasant area, one of the nicest in sheffield, mostly families living there. Brincliffe is nearer to the city centre, also nice, more younger people living there.

Im quite partial to Brincliffe too.
Its walkable to town.

Also Abbeydale Rd South would not be too out of the way and has good bus routes.

Where are you moving from?
