Hiya my daughter starts college this week, and am wondering, do they do a subsidsides bus pass for her to attend.

yes, she will need proof starting her college course though, she will get a pass same as a school pass 40p fare etc...

If she is in college more than 12 hours a week (not apprentiships) she can get one, but i think it may be too late now, they started sending them out yesterday!

There is also the kids travelmaster which is valid up until your 19th birthday, and is currently £10.50 per week or £39.50 per month for any bus, train or tram at anytime in south yorkshire.

she is going to college full time, do u think it is to late to get her pass then tomoz, she starts college on tuesday

No, you should still get the pass, but she may have to pay full fare for a few weeks until the pass arrives, my lad is also starting college at dearne valley tomorrow, and as not got his pass, due to them not been able to sign it until he enrolled, and he enrolled on friday! so he has to take the form to college on monday, but luckily he as the student summer travelmaster which runs out on the 9th so he as a week, but he is going to be buying the £39.50 monthly one anyway so this does not really affect him as much.

But they were really funny buggers in the interchange (rotherham) they tell you to get it in 2 weeks before the college start date, yet he could not get it signed until he enrolled (2 days before he starts college!)

Yeah i agree, and it's rather daft, it's the same for all 6th form collages and dearne valley, the major colleges all get enrolled automaticially on a computer which gets sent to the SYPTE.
