Now then,
I'm looking to get some of those custom made ear plugs/noise reducer things for my ears. What's that you say? Speak up!
I've got no idea where to start looking though..... Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Many thanks

Boots sell some ones made from foam rubber that you can roll in your fingers so they are really thin, and then pop into your ears. Within a few seconds they attempt to regain their original shape, and mould to the contours of your ear canal.
I found them very effective (I used to wear them at work when the team I managed got on my nerves!)
I seem to remember that a couple of pairs with a carry case was less than £2.

try Cromwell Tools on effingham street, tel 0114 2750831 they do a complete range of health and safety wear (personal protective equipment) including ear plugs.
Theres always Arco, opposite Macro off the Parkway.
I was in there yesterday and they had some on the counter that were on special offer.
You dont need a card to get in, its open to the public and has a great range of stuff.
P.s. The thermal Long Johns are fantastic !!!

The cost about 200squid! A friend looked into it so if you are really in need of that level of protection let me know and I shall try to find out. Some company in birmingham I think, you have to go down and have moulds taken etc etc. Its hassle getting hold of him so only ask if really interested

That is why I wear them every night.......... my other half snores like a pig.
I buy Muffles wax plugs from Boots. I think they cost about £1.50 for 10, which makes ten pairs for me as I have only little ears. Wear them and then throw them away.
are you a sound engineer non-shabby?
reveal yourself.
i know where you can get some quality made to measure for around the £100 mark i think but i will have to check with the other half as he's the sound engineer not me.
A colleague of mine had some. Said they cost £50 - but he's belgian, so it may be a bit far to travel for the fitting!
