A couple of nights ago I was sat on the sofa enjoying some lovely pitted olives.

I dropped one, felt it hit the leg of my jeans and disappeared I know not where! :o

I've checked the sofa, the floor and underneath the sofa.

There is nowhere for it to hide.

So where is it? :huh:

Combs, biros, keys, particularly keys; they all possess exactly the same skill your olive has just displayed.

The problem is easily solved. Give each olive one of those bleepers that help you find it when you drop it somewhere. Cheap, simple and effective.

I'm being serious here....its surviving brothers and sisters are missing it!

They've sent a search party out but can't find it! :o

I had this very problem with a chocolate digestive. I was sat on the sofa, happily munching away when I heard it drop. I looked everywhere for the damn thing and I can't find it. I ate it's brothers and sisters though.

If you'd bought the ones stuffed with garlic, you'd have been able to smell it

Arm yourself with an olive of the same size..sit in exactly the same place and position as last time and let it fall....only this time keep your eye on it!! Hopefully it will gravitate toward the lost olive! :) Downside to this...you may get to lose TWO olives!!:hihi:

I'm not risking losing another olive. Besides, they may start breeding in a secret place! :o

Olives aren't cheap...if your breeding theory is correct and you can track them down you may have stumbled on a lucrative money making opportunity!:hihi:

Me mam used to say, there is a hole in't world that is alus moving around, and if you drop somat and cun't find it, it had fell in't 'ole. (I believed her)

Same with my pen lid - now my pen's dried out. :(

Olives can roll when you drop them on the floor.

They can also bounce!

I just hope it doesn't get squished............! :o

If it rolled, you could try following the salty trail it will have left behind it......
