Anyone know a decent place in Sheffield to take a poorly laptop?

Its not mine, its a friends - but best I can tell the lcd sceen needs replacing. The model is a philips freevents x53.

is the screen damaged or does it just have a very very feint image?
Is it's damaged it's easy to replace but will cost over £200

Until you turn the laptop on, you don't notice a problem. The display looks like the crystals are all mixed together, wich a cracked display and colours running into each other.

I can highly recommend Infolink in Eckington. Fast repairs, reliable & amazing low prices. My experience is that what they don't know about Computers isn't worth knowing. They've never let me down!

hey, i'd rather pay a bit of fuel, then over the top money for repair!!!!

The screen for a freevents 50 is £192.99 plus £10 delivery and it's a 12.1inch screen. I am guessing it will be the same but you would need to check. Fitting is straight forward.
