Random as it sounds for a friday! Ive bust a zip on a fancy pair of jeans, theres teeth missing so it'll defo need a replacement zip, but is there anywere in town I can take it to? :confused:

there's a tailor in orchard square, right up the stairs on r-h-s. he's done stuff for me and i've always been really pleased. can't remember the name though - sorry!

Be careful of the big companies - we went to get a replacement zip on my daughters coat - we were quoted £30 by the dry cleaners in M'hall.

I know it's not in town, but Stitch it on Holme Lane (hillsborough) are reasonably priced and always do a good, neat job.

I fancy my chances at Holme Lane, its only up the road from me. Debsytd- I'll let you know how it goes :)

Went to Stitch It this morning, £8 to get my zip fixed! Made up! Will take a week though, she did have quite a few things to alter. So if you get your waterproof down there with enough time you'll be sorted :)

Glad you got sorted. She's always busy as she's good and reasonably priced. It's always the first place I try when I need something altering or repairing. Been caught out by the Thursday closing though!

thanks scruff unfortunately i live at gleadless and work all week so i think i will have to either try town or just hope the velcro will hold it closed til i get back or hope the sun will shine all week :)
