I've got a friend living in Ohio and I lost touch/address about five years ago. Would dearly love to find them again. A general Google of their name didn't turn up anything. One website claimed to know them but wanted $99 to tell me. Another site found them alive and well but in the year 1875 as an ancestor.

I cannot remember exactly how old the person is and don't know which school they went to.

I've only got a name and a state. Any thoughts?

Try US websites like whitepages.com and also yahoo.com has a people search. What city is it in Ohio? Mr. Funke has family up there who could look in their local yellow pages. Could be a coincidence if they live in the same city. Long shot but worth a try.
