I have the unfortunate honour of being a mates best man and am trying to organise a stag do for spring time. I'm not keen on doing the Amsterdam or Prague thing but was wondering if there is a European City that has yet to be discovered by the masses that someone may have been to and can recommend as a good place to go...good local nightlife and atmosphere, some "exotic" clubs etc??

As a regular visitor to Amsterdam, stay well clear, it has changed in the last couple of years into stag/hen night hell. Prices have gone up and there are loud english people everywhere making arses of themselves.

Not been on a stag night there but Barcelona is great. I have been loads of times and you dont get loads of stag/hen parties. You may bump into a few but very rare.

Great nightlife with lovley local ladies, bars, clubs, restaurants and loads of sightseeing if you want to do that. Got a beach and you can either tour rounf the Barcelona FC museum at the Nou Camp or catch a game if its not versus R Madrid!

Flights are cheap with Easy Jet (Luton) nearest if you book in advance or Ryan Air (stanstead) but that goes to Gerona about an hour coach ride away from Barcelona.

So much depends upon how much you want to spend and what languages you speak.
It also depends on how you expect your party to behave.
The further off the beaten track you go the more serious the implications of a Blackpool/Dublin style drunken stag team getting mixed up with the law in a foreign country.

I can recommend Riga, Galway and Hamburg.

Real success depends upon local knowledge from at least one of the team, booking a meal around which the drinking can continue and planning some 'lads' activities outside the "party time".

I can recommend Dublin.

My parents run a specialist coach tour company (Darwin Group Travel Ltd) and have arranged many Stag do's, they arrange everything from start to finish so it wont cause you as many problems as trying to organising it yourself.

Get a mini bus, or coach, and catch the ferry from Holyhead to Dublin.......sorted :clap:
