View Full Version : What do you dunk in your drink ?
Eventhough I have lived here for 17 years I have never known anyone apart from Yorkshire people dunk not just biscuits in their drink but Mars bars etc.
Is this a Yorkshire thing and what do you dunk in your drink.
I just dunk normal biscuits.
Ginger_Kitty 04-01-2005, 09:01 I dunk ginger biscuits mainly, they're very good in hot choc too, chocolate digestives are good to dunk too, but you have to be careful to not let the chocolate melt too much or it falls in your drink !!!:help:
ladyovmanor 04-01-2005, 09:04 just had my tea and biscuits rich tea half a pack
Don't drink tea or coffee so can't possibly comment. Have a friend who dunks Milky Way's, Boosts etc into her tea/coffee
Tea and biscuits are what I have for breakfast everyday.. I love them.. Sooooooooooo many biscuits to choose from! (I don't even drink the tea, I just throw it away after I've had my biscuits :D ). Can't wait I've ever dunked Mars Bars in tea before though :|

This just has to be done... rich tea fingers are the best... saying that tho a nice rich tea biscuit is a little thicker... mmm mmm mmm  want a cuppa now with biccies
Missbrum 04-01-2005, 16:58 Mars bar is amazing when dunked in a nice hot cuppa char, Cadburys Twirl is nice too :o)
Sam Miguel 04-01-2005, 18:19 I love any sort of biscuit dunked in lemonade. You have to leave them slightly longer than in a hot drink, but they are great.
The fizz gets right inside them.
Ginger biscuits are the only biscuit, and then only breifly, can't have them fall in.
Wispa's can work well too sometimes. It only works sometimes but if the tea soaks up in to the bubbles, then the inside melts leaving a shell with melted chocolate inside.

Digestives, Rich Tea and Malted Milk are the best for that :hihi:

Tricky, that. It's all in the timing. get a bit distracted for a second and it's fallen in - 'orrible when you try to finish your tea.
Big bits in the bottom and sludge :hihi: :heyhey:

Knack, don't get distracted. ;) Your time. Can't drink tea knowing there is a horrid mess in it. :gag: I have to start again.
The twix thing also works with chocolate fingers, but you do have to be quick with them. :hihi:
well i love dunkin penguin biscuits in my hot drinks. u bite a little off 2 opposite corners dip one side in the drink n suck through the other side like a straw and once u can taste the hot drink in your mouth turn it around and put into your mouth. it proper nice as ought.

Oh yes, tis very good!! Australian friend of mine showed me this with Australian biscuits called timtams about 4 years ago - and then a few months later, there was someone on Graham Norton (I'm pretty sure it was Kylie) who mentioned it and ended up showing Graham Norton what a Timtam slam was!
But since Timtams very hard to get hold of in this country, I would recommend penguins! But by the sound of it, a Twix also works well!
I hate tea and I don't drink coffee at home, so I don't dunk anything.
To my eternal credit, I too have never "dunked".
Oh, you don't know what you're missing! Don't knock it till you try it...
