Winn are winding down the flood relief effort now, with the mahoosive help of the forum and radio sheffield and all the other fabbo guys who came to our aid.

We are still in a mess, I have a surveyor coming on friday to decide which bits of my house they need to demolish and rebuild but hey-ho, we are getting on with it. Lots of goods, services and support came forward and without it we would have been up the raging creek without any paddles!

They goodwill of people has astounded those of us who got our feet wet, and I saw when we went to Scarborough alongside those of Donny, Tollbar and other Yorkshire flood areas who were treated to a lovely day out care of the Scarborough Council and traders association.

Building work is now in full force, we had a fun day for the kids on Thursday (see footage on my youtubey thing (http://www.youtube.com/fox20thc)) and St Johns Church, Owlerton are taking young families to Wonderland Adventure Park on Wednesday!

Now before anyone asks, picture a house thats stinks with no flooring, grotty weather outside and kids to keep happy. This is another welcome break from the ongoing realities of life.

Winners are happy to say the effort was spread out to cover those affected in Hillsborough and Stocksbridge, Outi who made themselves know and your fabulous efforts are sooo appreciated you could never imagine.

Last flood post from me... but a huge... THANK YOU

It's easy to forget when the tv cameras have gone that the crisis is far from over for some folks - hope you're soon back to normal fox!!

That is SO great. Hi there. I've wound down on the help too, but it is so nice to see that the help got its own momentum and it extended into the Stocksbridge and Oughtibridge areas.

I bet it's been a struggle to have people get in touch. :)
Ooo, I'm getting a fuzzy feeling just knowing that it went further than we anticipated. :hihi:
