Hi...been here in Sheffield for one year (today) and although I really love the place, I can't seem to make new friends. Interested in checking out local bands, but no one to go with. Anyone in the same position? I am female, 54 and just want to get out there...meet people and get a life.
Play the piano a little, had lessons when I was 10/11 but never sat exams so no idea what grade, though probably just touching grade 3. Can read music although not very well. Anyway, anyone interested in hooking up please get in touch...Sara

Nice freindly place, most of us of similar age to you.
You can PM me for more info if you wish

i'd say the best place to go is West Street Live or The Grapes for regulars on the music scene...cant say i know many people around your age that regularly goto gigs thou...which is a shame because i dont know why that is!

I know loads of people who are not teenagers who go to gigs!!!!! West St Live is good (Fri-Sat covers, Sun-Thur originals), all genres, some really really good bands in the city right now and thankfully not all AM clones.
