Phil Taylor clinched his 12th World Darts Championship when he beat Mark Dudbridge 7-4 in the final.
It seems nobody can stop Taylor when he is on top form. I wonder how much longer he can go on?
An early contender for Sports Personality of the year 2005? ;)
I missed the final  (my own fault)
Ain't he like fire on form, never misses anything :D Just like Barny in his prime days

From what I understand he was far from being on top form... and he still only conceded 7 sets on his way to the title (4 of them in the final itself).
But never mind the darts. Get him and Painter in a boxing ring together so they can have a proper go at each other.

Taylor played some top darts upto and including the match with Painter - it seemed like he was dragging his feet in both the semi and the final - not the type of play you normally expect to see from him.
Still - all 'power' to him he still won - love him he's a star:clap:

Well we dont know if phil taylor is the best in the world as the other championship is under way and barny is looking just as good as taylor.
Shame andy fordham coul'd not finish his match then we might have known who is the best, him or taylor?

Did he not swear at Painter after he won the match? There's an investigation of the TV footage and there was talk of him getting a TV ban if found guilty.

Hmm, when I was watching it, it kinda looked like Painter called him a w****r after he (Taylor) checked out on the bull, at which point Phil retaliated.
Maybe I saw it wrong but thats what it looked like from my perspective.:|

How would they impose that? Does that mean he would be banned from tournaments that are televised?
I think that's the basis of the ban, but not sure if it goes as fas as interviews, etc.

Can anyone see Sky wanting him banned from their new Premier League darts comp? Not a chance in Hades that'll happen.
And anyway. If he get's banned, what about all the footy players that are hardly subtle when giving the ref their best advice. You don't have to be a great lip reader to get the gist of their point more often than not.

More often than not you can hear then aswell with the pitch side mic's. I have a Blades dvd of the other season, Michael Tonge misses a free kick and all you can see and hear quite clearly is F****** he**. NO wonder Warnock doesn't want him in interviews:suspect:
At the end of the day it's not sky's desicion but i'm sure their pockets are deep enough to stop it;)
