Can you help. My parents have purchased a digi box and I am wanting to connect all the following appliances to the TV in the best way.

Digi Box - 2 scart sockets (Humax)
DVD - 2 scart sockets (Hitachi)
Video - 2 scart sockets (Hitachi)


TV - 2 scart sockets (Hitachi)

At present the DVD is connected to Scart 1 and Video to Scart 2

I was told that for maximum quality for DVD players is to use Scart 1. I have also been told that you can route the DVD and Video to Scart 1 together, but I have not done this.

Anyone know the best way to connect the DVD and Video as well as incorporating the new Digi box.

I'd connect it as,

DVD to TV AV1
Digibox to VCR AV2
VCR AV1 to TV AV2
