Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, nice can't wait for that one.
I have to admit I'm looking forward to Star Wars Episode Three. I've seen the trailer for it and it looks pretty good.
mr craig 03-01-2005, 11:49 I think Sin City is looking pretty good. Looks like its got some pretty strange cinematic/special effects in it. Trailer here (http://www.apple.com/trailers/miramax/sin_city.html).<-Requires quicktime.

I'm hoping for a plot twist in Star Wars Episode 3... Like it's really Obi Wan who turns into Darth Vader, and Annekin becomes Obi Wan to protect his legend.
I mean, in Episode 1 when Darth Maul killed Qui Jon, or whatever his name was (liam Neeson), Obi Wan went crazy and wasted him.

It was Qui Gonn Jinn.
And don't be silly, the plot twist you hope for will never happen.
DaBouncer 03-01-2005, 19:34 Looking forward to this movie (http://movieweb.com/movies/film.php?983) myself.
And White Noise of course :D

Meh, comic book to movie crossovers almost always suck.
My picks for this year are:
Harry Potter 4
Star Wars Episode 3
War of the Worlds
Batman Begins
Wonka
All I hope for is that Jar Jar binks gets slowly pulled to bits to the tune the imperial march in Star wars Ep' III. Why, oh why was he created?

Comedy relief for Episode 1, kind of like C3PO/R2D2 in the original trilogy.
DaBouncer 03-01-2005, 19:52 Not sure how Fantastic 4 becomes a crossover of something - unless of course you're just saying that a comic book becoming a real movie sucks.
Well may I remind you about:
Spiderman
Blade
Xmen
All original comic books and all good movies - but to each there own I guess.

They were no where near as annoying, yes maybe they were on the camp side but at least you could understand C3PO. Sorry but I hate Jar Jar!
DaBouncer 03-01-2005, 19:58 Now Constantine (http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/constantine/trailer/) looks like a movie I'll enjoy! :wow:

Judge Dredd, Darkman, The Shadow and a couple of the Batman movies . . . . Why?

Looking at the list posted, I don't think it will be! All remakes, sequels and prequels. No original ideas amongst them.

Why what?
I liked Judge Dredd (although not the best comic to movie film made), Batman (first one) is ace and you cannot deny that.
Never seen The Shadow or Darkman.
I suppose it depends on your perspective as I said before, but the movies made from comics in recent years (with the exception of The Hulk) are great so I'm looking forward to Fantastic 4.
Agent Gypo 04-01-2005, 13:05 Never really been a fan of comic books made to film, but was really excited when I heard Judge Dredd was coming out. Until I heard Stallone was in it...
Judge Dredd - absolutely abysmal. Crying out for another attempt with Judge Death...
Spiderman - very average
Darkman - average
Hulk - waste of time and money
Batman - first one is ok, saga gets progressively worse
Blade - first 2 are terrible, never likely to see the 3rd
Xman - average
Punisher - awful awful awful awful
What about Dare Devil Gypo ? wasn't that a comic book made into a film (and to be honest I enjoyed Dare Devil)

I've been warned about it.
DaBouncer 05-01-2005, 13:36 Each to their own taste Agent Gypo but I'm sorry if you don' like the blade movies there is something seriously wrong :P
And what about the ultimate Comic to Movie crossover - Superman?
Now that is a great movie!
Star Wars : Revenge of the Sith..
reminded me, I found out yesterday that the original title of Return of the Jedi was Revenge of the Jedi .. of course all the sci-fi peeps here will have known that but still, good pub talk :)
Indiana Jones 4 . . . . Rumours abound that Indy's daughter will make an appearance - none other than 'Natalie Portman'. Supposedly she wanted the part so badly that she asked George Lucas personally for the role!!
Whatever next?:|

Oh please, no! Indy? A daughter?! Is that the sound of thousands of hearts breaking? I used to fancy Harrison Ford so much as Indy. I can hardly believe George Lucas originally wanted Tom Selleck to play the part.
To give Indy a daughter is too Neighbours-esque. Who would the mother be? Willie? Marian? Me!!! :D
Frank Darabont had written a script which Georges Lucas did not like, but now Jeff Nathanson rewrote the story and Lucas accepted it.
Harrison is starting work on The Wrong Element and as War of the Worlds is in post production, that would mean at the very least that Indy wouldn't start filming for at least a couple of months, if indeed Indy would be Harrison's next project.
All going well - it'll be out end of year or beginning of 2006.

And the great hollywood cash cow continues...
Unfortunately integrity and other such words don't seem to be part of the vocabulary of many Hollywood execs... How many sequels have been made to decent movies that are so p*ss poor rehash of the original, but with lesser known actors? Son of the Mask, anyone? Dirty Dancing 2?
Bruce Willis should really know better. Maybe Demi cleaned him out more than we realise...
What's happened to Demi's career anyway? .. . she made a couple of magnificent films like Striptease & GI Jane and then disappeared. ( Im being sarcastic - before you start).
I think Bruce Willis is earning sh*tloads more than her at the moment and doesn't need to worry about money. Ever since that fatal boob job she hasn't really recovered her movie career.

Ghost ws arguably Demi's finest hour... Wish it was on tonight...
Perhaps Demi's film career was akin to ladies who have really rich husbands. You know they get a little part time job in the local florist for a "bit of pocket money" or a hobby....?
