I know of a few but has anyone got first hand experience of a really good one ? Ta Lindsey DaBouncer 22-08-2003, 11:23 I know there is a good one on Eccy road. Failing that, get to castle market, buy some material and make one! katey_h23 22-08-2003, 12:03 Ponds Forge roundabout, on the road going down hill from Hyde Park tram stop towards the ponds forge roundabout. Its also got a pub and an old fashioned sweet shop on it. Its got a wizard on it! also: http://www.mr-bens.co.uk/ http://members.lycos.co.uk/partcity/ http://www.jackiesfancydress.co.uk/ Tony Ruscoe 22-08-2003, 12:26 "Mr Ben's" in Crookes has a good selection of fancy dress costumes / props to buy and rent. My mates have hired from them quite a few times. "Party City" on Ecclesall Road has similar outfits and accessories too. I've bought things from there. Personally, I always try to make my own fancy dress... that way people realise you've made an effort. Here are some of my previous efforts: Pop-eye (http://ruscoe.net/photos/New_Years_Eve_2001/photo016.jpg) Lara Croft (http://ruscoe.net/photos/Freshers_Wk_2001/photo009.jpg) 70s Geezer (http://ruscoe.net/photos/Helens_22nd_Birthday/Untitled-01.jpg) Lindseyw 22-08-2003, 13:00 What are you lot on ??? MAKE ONE ?????? Sweet baby jesus !! I am FAR too busy/useless to do that - especially as I needs it for tomorrow ! Rich 13-09-2003, 13:08 Hmm, might pop across to the one down Ecclesall Road one day, got a fancy dress halloween themed karaoke night coming up in November and I don't want to be the only one not in costume. Thinking of going as Dracula if I can afford the cape/wig/false teeth. Lol, I'd be the first Vampire with a broad Yorkshire accent (see my post in the thread about accents), "I wants to beight thi neck!" Nevyn 13-09-2003, 14:11 There was one on Chesterfield Road in Woodseats, they used to put some very wacky costumes in the window. Im not sure if it is still there though. |
