Desperately looking for a good - very good fancy dress shop in Sheffield ........ I know of a few but has anyone got first hand experience of a really good one ?

I know there is a good one on Eccy road. Failing that, get to castle market, buy some material and make one!

Ponds Forge roundabout, on the road going down hill from Hyde Park tram stop towards the ponds forge roundabout. Its also got a pub and an old fashioned sweet shop on it.

Its got a wizard on it!

"Mr Ben's" in Crookes has a good selection of fancy dress costumes / props to buy and rent. My mates have hired from them quite a few times.

"Party City" on Ecclesall Road has similar outfits and accessories too. I've bought things from there.

Personally, I always try to make my own fancy dress... that way people realise you've made an effort.

Hmm, might pop across to the one down Ecclesall Road one day, got a fancy dress halloween themed karaoke night coming up in November and I don't want to be the only one not in costume.

Thinking of going as Dracula if I can afford the cape/wig/false teeth.

Lol, I'd be the first Vampire with a broad Yorkshire accent (see my post in the thread about accents), "I wants to beight thi neck!"

There was one on Chesterfield Road in Woodseats, they used to put some very wacky costumes in the window. Im not sure if it is still there though.
