could anyone tell me the best way to go from Birmigham Airport to Sheffield ? How much will it cost ? By train ? By bus ? Tried to find something in the net, but the train timetables and different fares are much too confusing for me...

national express coaches are by far the simplest and cheapest option.

Virgin operate trains from Birmingham New Street to Sheffield every half hour, with a journey time of 1 hour 15 mins. Cheapest fare is a Virgin Value ticket at £6.50 single, £13 return, if you can fix times at least a week before travel. Otherwise more expensive fares allow you to turn up at the station and buy a ticket on the day. www.virgintrains.co.uk.

National Express operate a coach service from Digbeth in Birmingham, which takes about 2 and a half hours. Fare is £14 single, £17 Economy return. www.nationalexpress.com.
