I just found out that Parcelforce were supposed to deliver a package to me (I guess yesterday) but it has been sent back to the sender and they haven't left a card to say they tried. I also happened to be in all day. I thought it might be because I live in a block of flats.

Is there any point in the sender trying to send it again through Parcelforce?

I live in a flat, and ive had big problems with couriers. They automatically just put a car in your letter box down stairs.

And even then they might deliver it to an unauthorised signatory with all the inconvenience which that is likely to cause.. :(

I'm having the same problems I have just found out my parcels have been returned to sender. mail order reckon they have tried to deliver three times, they haven't left a card on any of these occasions, they can't even say that they couldn't get into the block of maisonettes, because security door is broken and has been for weeks. :(

i work for a mail order company and we have so many complaints about couriers from people who live in flats. One person ordered something and the courier just left it at the bottom of the communal stairs!! The majority of complaints we get are from people who have problems with couriers, it gives our company a bad name even though it's not our fault.

Hmmm, well not sure what to do about my parcel as I have worries that it will ever get to me.

I normally have things delivered to my parents shop (even though I then have to wait a few weeks to collect it) down south but unfortunately this item has to be delivered to the flat address.

have you tried calling parcelforce direct. Try explaining the situation you're in and
hopefully they may be able to help.

Nope, no problems for the past 5 years. They always seem to find us ok.

Call them up and they can add specific directions and notations to your address that show up on the drivers GPS everytime they have to deliver to you -eg. Ring the top bell, back door please ;)
