I've booked The Earl for the 12th,13th 14th and 15th of January and I need some bands to play each night.
All money raised will go to Oxfam http://www.oxfam.org.uk/ and Medécins Sans Frontières http://www.uk2.msf.org/aboutus/
email me carcrashmusic@yahoo.com if you are interested.
Cheers John

There will be a Big Charity event for the tsunami in broomhill

. Expect lots of local musiscians, I have played at these charidee events before, and they are usually varied and colourful.

See below for more details.
Date and venue now confirmed
30th Jan 2005
The Nottingham House Pub

I'm going to be charging £3 on the door. The sound engineer is doing the gig for free and it is my PA system. The pub is letting us have it for free so the costs should be minimal.
I'm hoping to have 3 or 4 bands on each night.

Remind us nearer the date - I'm sure a few from here will come along. Maybe we could arrange a mini-forum meet?

The Saturday night gig is full and the line up is.
Rumpus
The Present
Tacoma
Monkey Swallows The Universe

It will cost £3 to get in and there will be dj's ect between the bands.
The rest of the line up's should be comfirmed by the end of today.

Thanks John

"The Earl" not coming good on google - can you help me out.

Is there a place for a 16yo band at carcrash? (MTV school band upstarts from cestrefeld. one competition win and they think they've made it ... they won't be so green for long)

I'm glad you enjoyed NYE, it was hard work for me and many others but we had a lot of fun. I'm a bit of a lightweight so I went home at 8.30pm on new years day and slept for 20 hours.
I'm looking forward to all the gigs but the Saturday gig is going to be very special. If you have not seen Rumpus, or The Present you are in for a treat and Tacoma were one of the finds of last year.
It is also my birthday party so I intend getting a bit fooked.

actually we might go 2night instead of 2morrow..probloem with saturday is most my friends are students and do bar/club work, so there's no chance I can get anyone there..
so u left at 8:30 pm, I didn't leave much later after that, in fact I wanted to leave much earlier but with the state I/we were all in I guess it took a cple of hours to actually get my head round to doing it if u know what I mean ;)

hope u have a gr8 birthday john, might see u there before then though

We will also have dj's and some live electronica.
Doors open from about 8ish.

Thanks everybody for coming. I didn't get to see much of the music tonight and I'm sorry about the sound system as it wasn't at it's best. We have raised over £900 but I think it will be closer to £1000.
Thanks to Tuffy, Kirky, Bov, Peta, Omar, Helen and Mary, Andy the sound chimp, Jamie from soundcontrol, Ed pisco, Des, Will, Moo and Gareth and everybody else who helped out.
The biggest thanks go out to the bands
Protex Blue
Pisco Sour Hour
Fever
The Wanted
Hickory Smoke
