where you from, are u a student? get a tram pass, join a cool gym or college if not already, risk meadowhall, grab a coffee, do eccy rd ENJOY!! sheffield ace! when u no ur way around get out to the hills (better in summer)

Where are you from originally? If you are a student you should find that the Student Unions will be able to put you in touch with societies of students from your homeland who'll be able to help with the day to day settling in.

Sheffield has a reputation for being a friendly city - you may find a few big mouthes on this forum that specialise in being unfriendly, but on the whole people here don't bite! :)

You must quickly find the DHSS building.
Here you can pick up your free mobile phone voucher,and also your cheque for a new car.
Also...do not forget to ask for a free colour tv and television license.
Your next visit should be the Housing Office,where upon completion of a small application form,you will be offered a fully furnished house,tastefully decorated,with luxury axminster carpets throughout,........(also ask to choose your bathroom suite,as there is a new colour scheme available)
Next you should nip down to the transport exchange,and apply for a free bus pass (you'll need to get about untill your car arrives).
