Hi all anybody out there got any good remedies to get shut of a stinking cold I have had mine now for 4 weeks and it is not getting better I have to be very careful of what I take do to some medication what I am taking these tablets what I am on I cant take cough medicine because of the alcohol content which is quite a few of them I have to be very careful of the pain killers as well any idea's would be very welcomed or help thanks

thats the problem I am not I have had to suffer for this past four weeks some of the chemist people dont know what they are doing I went into asda just before christmas to see what I could take and the asistant said oh you will be alright taking this cough medicine when my girlfriend looked at it there was quite a high alcohol content in it if I had taken that I would have finnished up in the intensive care I cant muck about with these tablets that I am on if any alcohol is taken then they have got to get medical attention to me with in 10 minutes otherwise it is curtains for me thats how bad they are and I am on these for the rest of my life you wouldnt belive the things I cant have I cant use aftershave,sauces, malt vinegar or anything else that as got alcohol in.

I said ask a pharmacist. The assistants are not qualified pharmacists.

You could try phoning NHS direct. I've used them before. They ask you loads of questions, but at least they're thorough

I dont wear ladies panties infact I dont wear anything under my jeans never had never will.

whatever your preference of underwear!!....try menthol and Eucalyptus.. you add it to hot water and smell at it ...it eases congestion of the head and nose... as for medicines etc...try the doctor to be on the safe side....

try a mug of hot milk,with a teaspoon of ground ginger in,wrap up in loads of clothes and sweat it out,you might find your own ways of sweating it out though :blush:

what other ways can I sweat it out my girlfriend as got it and she does'nt feel like it I suppose I could try it with a frog thats if I can stop it from jumping HA HA, and I dont feel like riding my bike too windy besides I am not into exercise waste of time if you ask me I would just rather use my pc the only trouble is my keyboard is getting sticky with my nose running all the time.!

echineaca or whatever its called - get it from herbal shop in m'hall upstairs near Bank and Republic. Take 4 a day for 6 weeks, have two week break and start again. stop moaning big girl! (MEN!):D
