I have the part of a medical orderly wheeling old folks into the ambulance. 1970s style - short white Med coat, brown flares and boots.
The cheeky buggers made me wear a long haired bald head wig:o
:hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

Should have said, Stephen Fry stars.

I was amazed to see one of the SHU technicians in the queue in the dole office in 'Full Monty'

Are there any other 'stars' lurking about the forum?
What was your 15mins of fame?

I watched this last night and it was scary, those jacket lapels and those pointed collars surely I never wore anything as bad as that? Oh yes I did...... Scary scary.
Not forgetting as well the lumber jacket with it's zip and fur collar with those funny little metal D rings on the front that served no purpose, absolutely horrific it made me cringe just looking at it.

I am gutted!! I was ill so went to bed early but my daughter stayed up to watch it and taped it for me. Unfortunately, there must be a problem with our video as it didn't tape it!!

I could cry!! I saw it when it was on at the cinema and really loved it.

Oh well, never mind!

Excellent film, I really enjoyed it. Not too impressed with the portrayal of Sheffield punks though, we weren't all as moronic as the film made out.

Hmm, I had wondered why I'd never heard of this film, but now I've watched it, I understand.

It was bilge!

Sorry, but I just found it embarrassing and very unfunny. Only bit that raised a chuckle was seeing Stephen Fry jogging through that forest of Supertram poles... in 1977!

And yes, those punks just made me cringe.

Sorry folks. Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks etc!

Just watching the above film never heard of it before seems to have been filmed in Sheffield some scenes around the old Golden Ball in town and Adelphi on attercliffe.

It was filmed in sheffield in about 1998.

I was at the Old Vicarage in Attercliffe, doing a course at college when it was filmed, and I can remember The Adelphi, next door was indeed the venue for the nightclub.

The old decorators shop (was it Gazzards DIY?) on Campo Lane, next to the Golden Ball is now swish apartments, isn't it?.

It's been on telly at least a couple of times previously, that I know of.

A much underrated film and quite evocative for anyone who grew up in Sheffield in the 1970s.

It also features one of the forum's finest as an extra.
Did you spot him? (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=24937)

Just a small bump to notify those interested that the film is on ITV 1 again next Saturday (June 7, 1.35am!) - so recorders at the ready. I've not seen this one yet and I'm greatly anticipating a viewing.

I went for the film and drew some attention with my hair which was ideal but was refused because I have an Equity card and they weren't paying Equity minimum rates :(

What's happened to him lately - I used to see him play occasionally on the same bill as Paul Ward and Sheffield's wonderful John Dyson.

Hah, well now you know why I always wear my hat when on the forum JenC :D

I don't normally look that peed off with life by the way, I was directed to! The first time I didn't look quite miserable enough and we had to do a retake!

John Dyson now lives in the wilds of Scotland! He still plays and records his own music and will be doing an electronica gig in Dundee later this year.
Sean D' Lear, also alive and well, and has just been up to visit us in Scotland. He's still gigging with his band.
