Please help. I suddenly can't access Works or my files. The computer just says wkswp.exe -Entry Point Not Found The procedure entry point?CbFromWZ@MWblStrings@@SAHPBG@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library WkWbl.dll. Tried looking on the microsoft site but don't understand it. Tried uninstalling Works and reinstalling. Tried Registry cleaner. Nothing seems to work. Don't want to reinstall XP because the lable with the code was ripped and I don't know how I would be able to reinstall it without. Am I scuppered?

At a guess you could go looking for another copy of WkWbl.dll, replace that & see if it wakes any difference?

There seems to be a few (http://www.google.co.uk/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-GB%3Aofficial&channel=s&hl=en&q=WkWbl.dll&meta=&btnG=Google+Search) places where you can download it from, probably worth a try?

Just chucking registry cleaners at it ain't going to do owt...

When you say you're "blocked from access to Works and related files", blocked how exactly?

If it's blocked as in you have restricted access account on a works PC, then call your techie.

Blocked in that I can't use Microsoft Works on my computer it keeps saying Entry Point Not Found. FailureReinstall@CWblMessages@@QAEXPAUHWIND_@@PBG@ Z could not be located in the dynamic link library WkWbl.dll

try searching where the dll should go (works directory?)
and download from here http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?wkwbl
just tried it its safe, then unzip and copy back where it should go see if that works

Which version of Works is it? And do you happen to have a beta version of Office 2007 installed? There's a (short) discussion of the same problem here (http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=571903).

for what its worth, open office will soon have works compatability via libwps project. (http://libwps.sourceforge.net/)

Thanks its a Works 7.0 but I had a trial of Microsoft Office 2007 but when my trial was up I removed it. It seemed to be working ok and then it stopped. I think it was after a microsoft download. Could I tranfer the file from another computer to reopen it?

Follow the instructions in that link I gave: you need to make sure that Works is completely uninstalled.
