Can any cyberpensioners out there help?
I have seen a reference to Mr Zimmerman and the "Don't Look Back" Tour.
Around that time I saw him at the Gaumont but some folks reckon the film shows him at the City Hall.
Any thoughts?

Ps Did anyone spot the Joan Baez concert details in the Star?

I take it you are referring to Robert Zimmerman? Haven't seen any details about Joan Baez though. Is she still living, last time I remember her was in the sixties. Oh no! I must be giving my age away... Actually I was a foetus at the time, my elder brothers told me all about her

Robert Zimmerman aka Bob Dylan by any chance?

To confirm my thoughts I looked the name up in Dogpile and also got:-
Robert Zimmerman the world famous underwater photographer
Robert Zimmerman the acclaimed electrical engineer
Robert Zimmerman, TV designer.
The Gaumont is the old cinema in Barker's Pool. So is he an aging film star as well?

I doubt very much if anyone would buy tickets for an electrical engineering world tour. However, my dad is an engineer and he's a pensioner and bald too! He'd buy tickets.

I thought he'd played the City Hall, but can't be certain without checking. Most of the groups/singers of the time played there. The Gaumont did have a stage, as well as a screen, but I only recall seeing it used for the Saturday morning kids shows when the films were preceded by a local pop group.
