I work in Broomhill and it is the type of shop that could do well.

It mght not attract new people to the area, but there are lots of people in the area already, and a lot of of them are teenagers and students.

I disagree.
For a start G-Star and Evisu etc are not exactly as cheap as you suggest. There have been several clothing shops that I can think of that have not done very well at all in Broomhill area recently and that have closed within a year or so of opening. There is also the competition of Division street where there are more established shops selling similar items all grouped together. Opening in Broomhill also means you'd only be targeting Sheffield University as Hallam students don't tend to get up that far - and from what I've seen as 5 years as a student here is that the majority of the time if you look at which students are better dressed (i.e. wearing G-star etc) it's usually the Hallam crowd (only my opinion)

g star etc clothing is pretty cheap from wholesale its the seller that bags the money. most shops triple there prices so if its 60 its been bought at 20 sometimes cheaper.

Yes, i think its a brilliant idea. King Edwards school closeby, im sure itll get lots of attention from younger generations, plus theres not really any other competition, apart from Ibex designs but that's a specialist shop anyway.

yeah its a wicked idea i reckon it could have the potential to be very popular. Maybe selling some things like boardshorts and more surfy makes like quiksilver would work better though as i reckon there would be more students wanting that kind of stuff. Let me know if you ever need any staff though id love to work in broomhill

You need to do some real market research. It is a huge commitment opening a shop. Judging by the mixed responses you really need to plan this. Contact busienss link.

Depends entirely on your price range. Broomhill has seen an excellent men's clothing store go, and more recently Tipsy Spindle/Weaver's Answer and whatever they combined into go.
The new quality women's store is already having to put massive discounts on their stock.

Broomhill has drastically changed from what it was, and as someone who has lived in the area for 28 years, I wouldn't advise anyone to open an upmarket store there.

I noticed that the new woman's shop seemed to be having rather a lot of sale's. They do have some lovley clothes in there, But I should think the prices are a little out of range for the avarge student

I wouldn't have thought those kind of brands would be particularly hot in Broomhill - they are just a smidge chavvy aren't they?

right. the clothing range is catering for everyone, i.e. skate board, gothic, n fashion, now the price range is very cheap i.e full dress £5-£15, g star t shirts £10, designer jeans £20-£50 , jumpers, sweater, hoodies, sleeveless hoodies all £10-£20. trainers, sandles, womens shoes £5-£25, designer hand bags £5-£30, all the usual cheap market fashion wear and ladies designer wear.

the clothing wear is mixed mens n ladies but not at stupid prices plus for the more expensive range i'll be offering lay away at no extra cost. also alterations at no extra cost {within reason}, and i wont be offering the usual 20% student discount {as most outlets in broomhill seem to} but they will be an opportunity to gain a loyalty discount card,
