View Full Version : Which famous faces do you think will bow out in 2005?
Obviously death is inevitable and we all face it one day.
I often wonder when seeing certain famous people how long they will last. Which famous faces do you think will unfortunately bow out in 2005?
Please try to stick to people whom you think will bow out and not who you would like to see bow out.
Here is my list:
Pope
Maggie Thatcher
Patrick Moore - Maybe.
I hope they prove me wrong.
The devil (if you believe it exists, of course)

Hoping that somebody dies is not nice however much you dislike them :nono:
I consider that to be as bad as taunting somebody about dying of AIDS ( if you are reading, MODS ;) )

Not quite, Thatcher was an evil dictaor who ruined many lives. Your AIDS remarks were sick beyond belief! Thatcher deserves to die whereas people who just happen to be of a certain sexuality, don't.

Hang on a minute I never said anything about people with AIDs. I was merely making reference to somebody being banned for making such remarks.

ha ha ... lol (but would'nt it be spooky if she DID die? ooeer...)
A.B.Yaffle 01-01-2005, 04:06 My list:
The pope (unfortunately ... as I do quite like him, even though I don't like the Roman Catholic church)
Margaret Thatcher (and although I don't like her or her policies, I do agree with Mo that people shouldn't be saying they hope she dies... didn't t020 get banned for wishing death on people?)
Prince Philip
I won't include Patrick Moore because he already cheated death last year, and he is a really nice man so I don't want to jinx him lol
Phanerothyme 01-01-2005, 08:38 Why not go the whole hog and open a 'dead pool'?
I prefer them to be cremated, the pool will soon be full, and a bit awkward to swim in :gag:
miniminch 01-01-2005, 17:02 Here below is a link for a web site of similar theme as this thread - only more professional and considered. I particularly like Michael Foots entry where the contributor has listed his profession as 'tramp' hoho ok discuss

maradonna and claire Rayner are the interesting ones i think!

This is one of the most sick and offensive posts I've ever read by anyone on this site. Miniminch should be ashamed. Absolutely disgusting.
Sam Miguel 03-01-2005, 19:16 I don't think I will be visiting this thread again.

The fact that you think it's a joke probably says more about you than anything I can say. As I said, disgusting.
miniminch 03-01-2005, 20:32 Death can be quite amusing. For instance it someone gets run over - its not funny. However if someone gets run over by an icecream van it becomes more amusing. If someone dies in a piano winching accident in the high street - it is funny.
Now if you think death is morbid and serious - well you got a shock ahead - coz you are heading there each and every minute.
You have a very western view of death - that its shameful and taboo.
When someone dies you might miss them if you knew them really well - that's sad. But actual death, is natual, inevitable. No one has wished pain or harm to these people. All we have done is had a guess at some of the people who are a) old enough or b) ill enough.
I still can't see your objection with other people guessing the fate of people which no one of us knew.
I bet when pricess Di Karked it you were one of those people who felt like you knew her - yes -they should be ashamed of themselves..
Think on..........
I dont feel in any situation death can be amusing... Losing someone can be the most heartbreaking experience anyone can go through in life...
I'm not sure but i do wonder about Elizabeth Taylor... she seems to be getting very frail... Bless her she's a good woman...
When a New year begins i often think about who will pass on... its almost guaranteed a famous person will unfortunately lose their life before February is upon us...
Just like poor Sonny who had a skiing accident... cant remember the year but i am sure that was in the month of January...
Its a shame...

What a load of self-justifying rubbish. Your post was not about accepting the inevitability of death. You wished someone dead, merely because you dislike their politics. Pretty vile stuff.
And please do not assume that you know anything about me or my views on death, because you're wrong with pretty much everything you wrote.
I don't think I'll visit this thread again either.

good riddance from the thread of death!!!!
oh come on you english - celebrate death - its good and natural. Why do you have to make it all such a downer all thge time. If there is heaven - cool! if there isn't - cool! its a win, win situation and it gets you off this ****ing planet before it goes into meltdown. Because of you lot by-the-way!
How about famous that you would like to move away from the spotlight?
Instead of dying :P
I wish Davina McCall would become a hermit, I hate her.
Don't want her to die right now though :suspect:

Good Idea Ian lets tone it down for the faint hearted. lets wish positive things on people.
Ok I wish David Blunkett would get his sight back so he could see what a ****ing mess he's made of everything.
How sick is that?
If people just want to check that a famous person is alive (putting on a positive spin here) I wrote a small tool to etherically determine such things based on google search results: Celebrity Death Bingo (http://www.samscam.co.uk/cdb/)
muddycoffee 05-01-2005, 17:20 Along the same lines, Is my DEAD CELEBRITY BIRTHDAY COUNTER, where you can see what age some of your favourite dead celebs would be if they were still alive today. And also how old they were when they died....
http://www.rocknroll.f9.co.uk/faceHair/dead.htm
I add more as they die.... ;)
By the way, Love the celebrity death bingo
