I'm looking if anyone knows what happened to a company known as Jones & Longbottom, and were based in Garden Street.

They were a cutlery company, and according to Companies House were dissolved in September 2000. My dad used to work for them, until he died, and i am interested in what may have happened to the Company. (Went bust probably?)

Jones & Longbottom changed it's name to William Walton Ltd in 1998 and was subsequently sold to a competitor, Egginton Bros around 2001. I was largely responsible for the final wrapping up of the company that I had joined as foreman in 1989. If I can help, I will do so with pleasure. B Revill.
