View Full Version : Dog poo bags in the trees in Graves Park
I was in graves park yesterday with my 3 1/2 year old daughter. we walked down from the play area & farm through the woods towards woodseats.
we saw about 10 trees all with bags with dog poo in them fastened to the the branches of the tree:loopy:. why do people do this why not use the bins provided or take it with them till they get home.
Because they are dirty and disgusting and don't give a dam about anyone but themselves .
That's almost as bad as leaving the dog mess all over the ground. Yuk!
Is it possible that someone who is fed up with having to poo-dodge in those parts has taken it upon themselves to clear the offending piles themselves and left them in the trees as a sort of 'Is this yours?' protest?

Anybody who thinks the best way to draw attention to a lack of bins is by hanging their dog poo from trees is a total moron.
There are no dog waste bins where I walk my dog, so I bring the little bags home with me, it's hardly rocket science.
I think there was a thread about this in Pets section a while ago. I cannot offer an explanation as to why someone would hang the poo in a tree, but I do believe there is a lack of bins in Graves Park, but Clumber Park is a lot worse and they dont hang them in trees at Clumber :loopy:

You'd be surprised by some of the things I hear in Area Assemblies. This wouldn't be the first time this has happened.
I walk my dog in graves park almost every day. Although there isn`t many dog muck bins, they have replaced the old ones with new bigger ones(which means they shouldn`t be over flowing anymore)!
So there is no reason for anyone not to dispose of their cack properly!
helibish 18-08-2007, 15:03 there is a total lack of doggy bins in sheffield, but thats no excuse the dirty sods if it tied up properly it can go in a normal bin better than hanging from a poor old tree, on the funny side,
we allways pick up Rubys waste and a passer by said the other day "oh my god how discussting are you picking poo up" (he didnt call it poo but you get the idea), i looked in amazement and said would you prefer i leave it for you nice white trainers then you can make a trail all the way home, you know what he said? "ha well i'll know my way back won't i" the brains of some hee hee:loopy:
I walk my dog in grenoside woods and there are no bins what so ever so I just triple it up and put it in our bin when we get home. I hate having to dodge dog poo when taking ours for a walk because some ppl dont clear up after their doggies.
this use to happen on the lane adjacent to our stables, either that or they through them into our muckheap(dog bags aren't degradable). it was brought to the attention of our councils , and surpruse surprise we have new dog poo bins now.
graves park in my experience has been poorly suppported for dog bins, just like rother valley is.
It happens near me and I asked this woman why she did it and she said she picks it up on her return journey rather than carry it round with her. That was her excuse anyway.
.
It's to be hoped that David Blunkett doesn't go down Cobnar Wood scrumping.:gag:
