We getting a new pc next weekend. Has AMD dual core processor 2gb RAM.
Anyways, we are currently running nero 6 on this pc. Like the look of the Roxio media creator but the reviews on amazon have slated it.
Would prefer a piece of software that you can manage photos, music, etc aswell as being able to burn our photos to disc etc....but don't want to waste money on something that isn't going to work.
I searched through here, people seem to say either Nero or Roxio, think I seen one reference to Ulead? But what versions are working and not buggy at the moment?
Will be running windows XP Home on new pc...seen too much rubbish about the new vista.

Nero is more than just burning software it's also a DVD converter (AVI MPEG to DVD ) audio Ripper and the best bit of software to use all round.

spoke to a guy a pcworld. He reckons the mixed reviews on both Roxio and Nero are based both on OS and Computer spec?
I have used both myself, its just a bit daunting buying the latest versions. The latest media suite (version 9) for Roxio for example gets slated on amazon. At ebuyer its slated by a vista user and raved about by xp user???

1: i think how good nero is is OS based
2: roxio is crap full stop, i used it when it was easy cd creator and was terrible, media suites are normally worse

Don't go near Roxio - it caused no end of problems on my old PC and I would never entertain it again. You won't go far wrong with Nero.

Nero 6 gets my vote. I lost faith in Adaptec when they changed to Roxio.

There's a description of Nero 6 Reloaded functions halfway down this page - looks like it would meet your needs :)
