Ive been reading all the threads associated with the car boots and I havent found the info I want so Im sending out a question to anyone that may know: i heard of a car boot thats out near dronfield/chesterfield way that doesnt start until about12/1pm (great eh?!) and is near a pub called the Big Tree, the Big Cat off a roundabout in a field? Does this sound familiar to anyone? I would like to do this event as I have kids and I heard that they have a bouncy castle there to entertain the kids while I sell. would be most grateful if anyone could help

I think the Car Boot Sale you're meaning is the one at Bowshaw Roundabout. This is the roundabout, after Meadowhead, where you would either bear left towards Dronfield on the old road or straight on towards Chesterfield on the bypass.
When I drove past the other day there was a notice on the field gate about Car Boot but I didn't take note of date/s, time/s etc., sorry.
This car boot sale seems to come & go as & when...................

Also there's a Saturday afternoon one at Twin Oaks Motel on Junct. 29 of M1 - it was very busy when I went earlier in year.

The Bowshaw carboot was on last Sunday , but it starts in the morning , not the afternoon. As Galloway has already said the only one I know of in the afternoon is Twin Oaks.

The car boot at March Lane has now moved to the field next to the Blackamoor pub between coal aston and marsh lane, but still has an early start!

thanks for that guys, i think the one that Galloway mentioned is the one but it definitely starts at 12.45 the one Im after. I remember being told that, it sticks in my mind, as not many car boots start later they usually start at some unholy hour of the morning, a drudgery which I am most unwilling to undertake!

Im still unsure though whether its a saturday or a sunday tho?

The one at chesterfield that Ive read you all discussing, at Jct 29, thats a saturday isnt it, I dont suppose there would be two car boots on the same day at the same time would they, so it must be a Sunday. If anyone knows any different though, would be most grateful for confirmation!

car boot just of junction 29 m1 first left great booty dont think starts until april but a must to go to starts at around 1pm

Marsh lane is an early start and should have started last sunday but due to the weather was cancelled.
I've spoken to the guy this morning and he says he thinks that it will be a no go on sunday and monday again this week due to the weather. So next sunday if weather is ok it should be on.

The chesterfield J29 twin oaks car boot sale on saturday starts 5th april and they let buyers on earlier than the public. it opens to the public at 12.30-12.45 pm depending on how the organisers feel! there is a bouncy castle there.
