Sorry this thread might not make much sense but who decieded that things should be spelt a certain way? government, royalty? etc :confused:

The answer to the title of this thread (Why is use spelt use? not you's) is easy, it's to avoid confusion when written down, as in, You use a tool. As for the word thought, why do you think it should start with an F, it starts TH, prononced THU.
I really hope that this is a joke thread.
