Where is the best place to go for cheap flights? There are so many travel agents and web sites offering cheap flights, I just wondered if anyone had any hints or tips they'd like to pass on?

ebookers.com can sometimes turn up a bargain or two, but nothing rock bottom.

otherwise, try google.

These folk - http://www.skyscanner.net/ search all the budget airlines - easyjet, bmi, ryan air etc which you don't tend to get on ebookers etc - I've not used them, but they look pretty good.

Depends where you want to go. Within Europe you get good deals when you buy online with the budget airlines:
http://www.easyjet.com
http://www.ryanair.com (most fly from airports down south)
http://www.flybmi.com

Secret is to be flexible about where and when you go and to fly mid week.

I'm trying to find a cheap flight to visit my Sister in Vancouver this Christmas, but the prices rocket at that time of the year.

My mate today told me that you can fly cheaply by taking a package over with you. For example in my case from the Canadian Embassy here over to Vancouver.
Has anyone heard of this or got a link/phone number?

I've heard of this being a courier before. Not sure re links but maybe try travel agent or ring the airport?

Easyjet definitely do Liverpool to Malaga, I did that last year. Not sure if they do it from E Midlands, but probably do.

also, try britanniaairways and air2000.com. Although generally charter flights they also do flight only and it can be quite cheap.

Not sure if you can do a one-way hire.

Looked on the net but no cheap airlines seem to do flights there. The cheapest one i could find is £200 with Lufthansa.

Any ideas???

Have you tried BMI ?

I know they do reasonable deals on flights to Cologne.

Anyone know of genuinely cheap filghts deals on the net?? My mum n dad are coming over for xmas and from what I've seen there's no chance of them paying the prices I've seen.. Looking to depart from Geneva to either Manchester, Leeds, East Midlands, Liverpool from 22 dec to 30 dec. Tried easyjet, that was a rip off..
Many thanks:(

I was going to suggest easy jet but if thats i rip off i doubt it will be much cheaper anywhere else.

Just in case anyone else is looking for flights to different places. Jet2 have now started doing a lot more destinations and fly from Manchester too now. Seems to be the cheapest of the budget airlines. I got a return flight for 2 to Valencia from Manchester for £70 including all taxes!

I think the trouble with easyjet is everyone knows about them now so the cheap tickets get snapped up the second they are released. When I have tried booking with them on the day of release the dirt cheap tickers are usually gone within a couple of hours.

I'm pretty sure it will be JET2.COM.

There is Ryanair, BMI Baby and FlyBE but they don't fly to Amsterdam.

If it was a web page can you check your cookies or temp internet pages (a bit of a pain I admit).

Just remember the flight maybe £1 but i doubt that will include airport tax, fuel charges ect ect.

Still £1 + whatever taxes is still a bargain

I also think it most likely be Jet2.

Hi all.
I found an online service, that provides online check in by providing the best seats preffered by us.
They send boarding pass by email and charge 9 euros/person for oneway.
