Just had a mad thought and a blast back in time. Did anyone ever own a pair of these fantastic shoes, I had two pairs in my time, possibly from Grattons catalogue, they were really comfortable and my old ma was still paying for them long after they had worn out. 55 pence a week :)

I tried to Google them but not much info to be found.

Weren't they the ugly ones with the cornish pasty effect stitching on one side ??? If so, I had some along with my long 'soul skirt' and white ankle socks !!! Anyone else ???

Yeaaahhhh,

I had a pair, my 'cornish pasty' shoes. Brilliant, although I don't think i could wear them now  They were the most comfy shoes ever. Can't remember where I got them from though.
