Hi everyone!
Right, I use my printer loads and the last time I used it (2 days ago) it was working absolutely fine. Today I come to use it and - NOTHING. When I go to print, the document goes into the print queue and stays there. I've tried the usual turning off and on etc.
I can't understand what could have gone wrong!
Help! I know someone on here will sort the problem - you always do!
Thanks in advance!

Print spooler service not running on your computer?
Print spooler service not running on your computer?
Oh don't start getting technical! What's that mean? I don't do computers! I'm more used to changing nappies!
The printer is plugged in and switched on isn't it?
Try restarting the computer.

Ok - just re-started the computer (yeah it's all switched on etc) and submitted another document. NOTHING HAPPENING. On the control panel, the status of the printer is 'printing' but I can assure you it's not!
Just checked again and now the status is saying error (?)
Have you checked the cables (power and data)? If it is USB has it been moved to a different socket? Are there any lights on the printer (now and normally)?
Just re -checked all the cables to make sure they are in right etc.
The lights that are normally on (ie power) are on. There is a red light telling me that I am out of coloured ink but that's been like that for a couple of weeks (black ink ok) - would that affect anything?
Thanks for all your feedback though people! Keep your ideas coming cause this is really bugging me now. I really need my printer!!!!

printers are notoriously difficult, they normally either work, or dont
heres some stuff i check for tho
1: plugged in
2: switched on
3: reset the printer with the button on it
4: reboot pc
5: check paper is seated correctly (take out, put back in then print - sometimes can kickstart it going)
6: ink cartridge low CAN affect certain printers, but they normally whinge at you.
7: go into the printers properties and align heads, clean heads etc
last resort
8: try printing in other programs, i normally use notepad, doa quick fjsdkifjkjf and try printing, does that work?
9: reinstall printer driver
Thanks mel - tried everything up to point 5 so will continue to see if anything after that works!

remembered another one.
have a close poke around inside where the paper goes, make sure theres no tiny blimps of torn paper / debris that can stop the paper from going through

Have you unplugged the printer from your USB port at all? Sometimes when you do this and plug it into a different port the computer treats it like a different printer and puts "COPY 1" after it's name.
Try going to START button, SETTINGS, PRINTERS to see what printers you have listed and if there's anything stuck in the queue.
