You need to create identical username and password on both pcs, so if you log into vista with user: "smary" with password "smarypass" (for example) then you need to recreate the account "smary" with the password "smarypass" on your xp pc. Then just right click to share the folder on XP (if you haven't already done this).

If your main pc is vista you may wanna have a look at this link, as file sharing in vista can be a pain especially if you want to share a root drive.
