When we had a Dell Inspiron we got all disks (full ver of Windows, drivers on floppy) no stupid recovery CD/floppy. However, we had major [rpblems with thier customer support when the screen broke. They wanted us to pay £750 for a new screen (just out of warranty). We ended up buying one (screen) online for about £200 & fitted it myself in about 5 mins! Dell = about £110 per min or £6,600 per hour! Get a Toshiba, instead! ;-) Nyx 28-12-2004, 12:22 thanks for that, it`s my brother who wants the dell but i`ll be ordering it for him i`m having serious doubts about it, it seems like a top offer on the web site only valid for 2 days though but i can`t find any reference to recovery or installation discs. I know he`ll need them, i`ve emailled dell but no reply yet and rang their sales line who are in another country and they had no idea what i was talking about and started talking about warranties instead, i rang the sales line twice more and ended up just putting the phone down :-( |
