Who will score more goals this season ?
I think Beattie was a brilliant signing for the Blades and I am sure the owls on here thinks Jeffers was a good signing for them.

My money would be on Beattie to score more than Jeffers this season .

hi cb
Beattie by a mile , its nailed on mate he looked class second half a bit unlucky with the one that hit the bar for a double

I think most would put money on someone with two broken legs scoring more than Jeffers this season. Jeffers is a complete waste of space. Charlton Reject.

Ridiculous comment after ridiculous comment with Arsebandit.

Jeffers WILL do well providing he stays fit. But again if Beattie stays fit also, then my money would be on him.

Robbie - can't agree. Jeffers will have a hissy fit before Christmas and will do nothing at Hillsborough. Definitely won't score double figures, more than likely will struggle to get half a dozen.

You heard it here first!

Beattie should bang a few in.

Jeffers I'm not so sure about. I saw him play for Blackburn and he ambled around like a lost child. Still, he can only get better...

Was exactly the same for us.

Any new striker needs 7 or 8 games to develop a decent understanding with their colleagues.

It helps if they are signed one and a half months (NOT one and a half days, as in Jeffers case ) before the start of the season ; to develop just such an understanding in pre-season warm up games.

I think Beattie will score more. But I think Jeffers was the better value player.

£4 million is too much for Beattie. Especially when you consider Lua Lua just went for £2.8 million. He would have been a far, far better buy.

Nobody has seen the £8million Jeffers for a long time. I hope he can get that form back by playing regularly & injury free.

I remeber coming on here & United were head & shoulders above Wednesday in term of squad!, erm, no midfield i heard on radio Sheff tonight!
No pace in defence too.
With Johnson's pace, Whelan & a fiew more signings iminent (the right ones), i can see Jeffers getting descent service, fingers crossed!

Beattie by a considerable margin.

Jeffers has zero service and glass legs.

Both are crap to be honest. James Beattie has to be one of the most over-rated players around. Jeffers has never done anything so no doubt it has to be Beattie.

no one is giving Jeffers a chance:mad:

As geocol said he was signed one and a half days befor season started, give him a chance and he will be good

Hes only played around 2 games(not even that) and people are slagging him off!!

Yes, he didnt do anything special in the games he played but did any other wednesday players?? No not really!

If he gets fit and keeps injury free he'll get double figures(13)

Just been reading Alan Brazil's autobiography and according to him strikers need at least 7 or 8 games with the same side before they start to produce results. The other players need to know when he's going to make his run, where he's running to, etc etc. So let's not judge Jeffers too early, but it's worrying that he's injured already.

i hope beattie does, jeffers is crap and deserves the career he has had. he got too big for his boots at an early age and thought he had already made it so stopped trying.

Beattie gets my vote. I must admit when I first heard we had signed him, I wasnt keen. But fairplay to him he's doing fantastic, he will def hit 20 this season. Has for Jeffers, I feel a little sorry for him, he's not the same player he was a few years ago. When a players comes back from a serious injury, it goes one way or the other, you either come back stronger or just always end up with niggling injuries.

What a brave prediction, given the fact that the season has been underway for some months, Beattie is already the league's top scorer and Jeffers is injured for four months.

I commend you.

Its hardly a suprise is it- beattie has been banging them in regually in most clubs he has played for, whereas jeffers has been plauged by injuries for quite a while.

Its just the norm.
