It's unsettled the squad. Players must be dissolusioned when 2 of the best players get itchy feet & the sale of the best striker. Jeffers will get goals, only if he has the service & quality around him! CheekyBandit 11-08-2007, 19:10 Jeffers will get goals, only if he has the service & quality around him! But jeffers will do nowt for you as he is completely useless. CorkerSWFC 11-08-2007, 19:15 OTE=Romario;2528332] Jeffers will get goals, only if he has the service & quality around him! Charlton are in the brought back down to earth league today so id keep quiet m8 Romario 11-08-2007, 20:53 mm, he hasn't realy had much chance to show how he can be! He has done what was needed for him by stepping down a league. He did well at Ipswich last season & as he's still in his prime, with regular games, there's no reason he can't get back to the form he had at Everton. CorkerSWFC 11-08-2007, 22:47 When do we ever do well at the start of the season, lets just get a bit of confidence out of thursday against the millers, any1 off anywhere for a few bevvis? CheekyBandit 12-08-2007, 00:24 Charlton are in the brought back down to earth league today so id keep quiet m8 In two weeks it will be YOU that will be keeping quiet. canadablade 12-08-2007, 00:32 In two weeks it will be YOU that will be keeping quiet. Sooner we get rid the better. We'll get a good price for him and we can settle a new player into the team right away. It would be good to keep him, but like most footballers, he's a greedy swine. mack69 14-08-2007, 10:28 It was never in doubt. Sooner we get rid the better. Now Allen needs to raise the wage budget and get a decent central defender on scene and quick. mack69 14-08-2007, 10:48 Thanks for all the barnstorming goals Brunty, its almost definate he's score a thunderbolt against us when we play the baggies aswell. [QUOTE=CorkerSWFC;2536758] Now Allen needs to ........get a decent central defender on scene and quick. Wouldn't recognise one if he kicked him in the 'cojones'..... otherwise they wouldn't have let Coughlan go. The problem on Saturday was more at left back. Gilbert had a nightmare. He wasn't brillliant to start with, but in my view he hasn't been the same since being out with the broken leg.... which is not uncommon. But ... ... hope he proves me wrong, and comes back stronger. Having said all that - the first goal on Saturday did come from a penalty, given after the most minimal of physical contact (yet another Beeby boo-boo!); and if it had been a Wednesday player that had finished off the Pipsqueaks' second, the way their guy did - we'd have been ranting about it for weeks. (And at the time we all felt the guy who put the centre over, was at least three yards offside!) After that no excuses - it could easily (and should ) have been more than 4. |
