Hi, me and my husband have just been walking the kids and a stray dog walked pasts us. he was a little black and tan dog looked like a cross. he was starving and searching the bins for food. he was darting in and out of the road i was in a right old state. it was on birley moor road where the birley pub is. i bought him a buttered breakcake and he scoffed the lot. i hateto see dogs loose in the street it kills me. i would be in a right state if that was my dog. anyway he went down a side road and looked like he knew his way home. just posting this in case anyone else sees him. he's very friendly but nervous.

oh and he has a coller on but no tag and that as close as i got to him.

If you see him again call the dog warden and tell them the area you have seen him. If they catch him he will be picked up and scanned for a chip, if they find the owner, they will be fined if they continue to allow their dog to roam, not only is it a danger to the dog it is also a danger to road users.

If you manage to catch him the dog warden will collect him from you Mon-Fri.
