I'm doing my annual duty of looking after my God-daughter's guinea pigs and need to know. Is it safe to burn joss sticks in their vicinity? Like the same room?

Just don't want to do them any harm for the sake of some sweet smells.

Personally I tell people no plug ins, sprays, candles burning etc anywhere near birds or small animals. Better safe, than sorry.

Will have to, they are usually outside all day and the *home* they have has, shall we say, a unique smell .... fortunately not offensive.

Bless 'em though, they do lurve to be cuddled :D

i have guinea pigs inside ,, as long as you scoop the poop daily the cage should smell frsh, i tend to do a full clean out twice a week.

i dont burn anything near mine,, no smelly stuff. i usually use air freshener spray when they are out side for a while.

I clean them daily, it's the cage that smells of damp wood, although it has a protective cover it still is out in the elements.

Also, for some reason when they come to stay with me they seem to pee for England!! Have to change them constantly LOL
