Does anybody know any good quiet places to eat out at on a Sunday? 3 Course meals. Sheffield is preffered but would travel a little outside.

Thanks

The Plough on Sandygate Road...I'm a recent convert. Fab food (their home cooked chips and nougat ice cream are simply fantastic), child friendly, attentive staff, great location and keen prices :thumbsup:

Try these;
1. Ye Olde Mustard Pot in Midhopestones nr Stocksbridge.
2. The Robin Hood in Little Matlock nr Stannington.
3. Three Merry Lads nr Lodge Moor.
4. The Chequers Inn Froggatt Edge

All lovely !

How odd. We used to go there quite often but it changed hands earlier this year and we took our Mum on Mothers Day, it was the worse meal I've ever had! We complained and got a refund then took her to the Scotsman's Pack in Hathersage for a late but much better Mothers Day treat.

Forgot about Scotsmans Pack. They do a wonderful Steak Pie. Can be busy though.

The thought of eating a busy steak pie is actually quite disturbing.

Never went back to the Blackamoor after they charged me 50p for a Yorkshire Pudding which should really have been part of the Sunday Roast. The itemised it under 2 x 50p Sundries. Also why do they server red cabbage with every meal???

Hmmm. On this note does anyone know of a full carvery service for Sunday lunch somewhere in the city centre?

One where is is help yourself for starters and desserts and with the carvery you can go back for seconds?

Still good value, don't think you'll be disapointed.
