Being 10 in 1989 when Band Aid was remade the first time around (and reached number one) I cant help thinking that this event has been airbrushed from history by the recent remake. OK, the record was all Stock- Aitken & Waterman artists and I guess thats why Geldof et al wanna forget but I remember!!! Does anybody else!!!

Who sang on it........? Im sure Kylie sang the opening lines.......

Yes, I think I can remember the official 2nd version too! it still wasn't as bad as the new one at no.1 at the moment.

The feed the world bit at the end sounds like they are all stoned!:gag: but hey it's all for charity mate!:P

It does seem to have been wiped from the history books in a fashion.

I remember Luke Goss on the drums instead of Phill Collins.

The artists I remember having an input were:

Cliff Richard
Jimmy Sommerville
Marti Pello
Matt Goss
Sonia
Kylie
Jason Donvan

I think Lisa Stansfield was on Band Aid II too. I heard it on the radio yesterday, and although it isn't as good as the original, it is still much better than the new one. The singers on the new one can't even sing in tune! :D

I cant even remember Band Aid 2 But its sure got to be better than this new one.The only plus point about the new single is that its got the original and best recording as track 2 and track 3 is the live version from the Wembley gig 85.

Yes you are right. Stansfield did take part and sung a verse I think.
