Hiyas

My long suffering other half (Angel05) has got herself a rotten cough and it's doing her nut as we speak. Does anyone know an instant cure to get rid of it, or at least calm it down within the next 24 hours. It's sounding pretty nasty and the poor lass will have no energy left at all tomorrow at the rate she's going. :(

Any ideas or miracle cures anyone? Please? Prrrrretty please?

Your help is much appreciated.

I recommend Covonia, but at this time of night - Pernod and black should do the trick. Pretty much the same ingredients.

Well that's one option but we have no Pernod and weren't planning on gettiing tiddly tonight. Cheers though. :)

Any others?

According to recent news chocolate (well the theobromine anyway) is what you need! Other than that anything warm and soothing should help...

Any others? I meant - the chemist will be shut, you'll have a better chance of finding somewhere to vend alcohol, and you only need one shot of it - to be sipped slowly. It should have enough blackcurrant in it to prevent it from being 'necked' anyway.

I was actually serious!

How about hot blackcurrant or any hot red jelly drink? Hot vimto is even better.

Dequacaine is brilliant but that's a sore throat cure and we're back to the chemist thing again.

We have no chocolate to hand (and the late shops are closed now :( ) but we do have hot blackcurrant so I'll sort her some of that out. You're all very kind. :D :D :D

Have you tried poison? fight fire with fire and all that. Apart from that anything syrupy always used to do it for me.

Send her off to work Pauly, it won't cure the cold but at least you can't hear it ;)

 Hello to you all

Thought i would just fill you in...

In the early hours of this morning i really couldnt take any more... My breathing was getting shallower & shallower chest tightening with every breath i took... I couldnt even breath in without coughing... It was really getting me down so uncontrolled... So i decided enough was enough and went off to The Northern General at approx 1.40am... where i was diagnosed with having an asthma attack after they helped me with getting my breathing back on track and making me comfortable... :? it was pretty scary stuff i can tell you... I'm not a great sufferer... so i was a little taken aback when i found out...

Well we left about 5.30am i have been given antibiotics along with 2 inhalers 1 being blue the other brown...

Thank you for all your tips they were very much appreciated :)

Thanx again :)

I'd like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.... :partyhat:

How about a tracheotomy?? Bit extreme I know but will alleviate all those throat problems.

decapitation ?

Didn't Calligula do that to someone who kept coughing near him ?
