Hi-

Was just wondering if any of you out there have sold your house (or know of people that have sold their houses) to the Homebuyers LTD estate agency. Their 'cash for homes' scheme looks very tempting, but it seems a little bit too good to be true!

Are there any pitfalls, hidden charges, tax issues etc?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Lib1

I rang them a few months back and a nice lady told me they would offer me around 7% under a normal highstreet estate agents valuation. She gave me information and was very helpful and said the lady that would pop out and do their valuation and sort things out would give me a telephone call.

No return telephone call.................... so I rang the lady in question.

She took all my informtion again and told me they would offer me at least 15% under the valuation and none of the other information tallied with the nice lady's information and she told me in the nicest possible way that they were not interested in buying my property.

I was selling a terrace in Heeley that was in very good condition. They didnt give me a reason for not being interested and I didnt pursue it.

Hope that helps.

sorry to point out the obvious but if it sounds to good to be true......... It probably is. these things are usually so dodgy and are aimed at people past a certain age who don't have a decent pension to rely on.
