This my favourite photo. It was taken on the shores of Derwentwater. A place we have been going too every years for over twenty years. I have taken hundreds of photos of the Keswick area but this is my favourite.
The rock only appears every so often depending on the water level. I have seen it only twice in all that time. It was an opportune shot taken whilst panicking, thinking the bird would fly at any moment. I think I took it with an early Olympus 3.2 Mpixel digital camera.

Beautiful Evilboris. Really nice - especially like the fact that it's obviously an HDR but you've toned back the 'strength' of the 'effect'. :)

Thanks,Whenever I try to do it I either end up with something that looks no different to the original exposures or ones that just look hideous, this is the best inbetween one I've managed.

Me too!

Sometimes, half-way through editing an HDR, I'll just bin it, return to the original 'middle' exposure, squeeze the highlights and shadows and it normally looks better! However, sometimes it pays off though. :)

sometimes I just keep the HDR image as they often have that slightly unusual noise free look.
