I am curious to know if there is still a cycle run out To Castleton at the weekends.

I seem to remember there used to be a regular run that left from ecclesall/whirlow on saturday and sunday morning.

Does it still take place?

I don't get many weekends off but would be quite interested to meet up.

He and some friends go out on a run most Sundays and vary the destination. They are really friendly and if you want to go to a particular place they will do ;) .

Sheffrecc CC meet at Malin Bridge on Saturdays and Sundays for club runs out into the Peak District, the pace is fairly gentle at this time of year.

The cycle run you mentioned is the Rutland one. They do but its not for the slower riders.
The Rutland one is the teacake run which meets opposite the Wheatsheaf on Eccy road and goes direct to Roses cafe in Castleton.
The Rutland meet at club 197 at Brook hill roundabout on the first Tuesday of every month, at 19.30, I think.

Rutland club meeting is the 1st friday of the month!!
