C'mon Maddy old boy. I know you're abit sick of whats happened down there to you. It seems more and more of your posts about the Owls are on the negative side, but this is the team you've supported all your life, don't let those tossers who got to you dampen your spirits about the club you love mate.

As for the original question I'd love Wednesday to buy Carlos Tevez... Just so he could score a hat-trick against the piggies come derby day!

How funny would that be! :hihi::hihi: they'd be planning another march on Westminster!:hihi:

They played awful, and it pains me to say it but we are second best in this city, the club stinks!
What i want is Good Performances and good results in the new season, and yes i think laws is the man to do it for wednesday, but what the fans need is a good kick up the arse, we are not the big club they think we are anymore.... We have a chairman who puts his hand in his own pocket for the good of the club, and what does he get for it?? The so called fan group wednesdayite who have made their name on the back of the club naffed any chance of a take over... everything at swfc is on small budget cost is the main thing at hillsborough, even down to the friggin pies at half time....;)
lestat mate i aint bein negative, you just need a Reality Check, swfc aint that Big in this city anymore we are a poor 2nd best!
I say that with hand on my heart as i talk about a club that i Love and Adore, this thread asked (Which player would you like wednesday to sign?) and i said the ball boy could play... Players should be proud to wear the shirt not just Paid to wear it!!
If wednesday play like that again this season...:help:
I will be there with season ticket in hand at the start of the new season..... will you?

Tevez couldn't score against us at BDTBL when we clobbered them 3-0 so what makes you think he could score 3 against us when surrounded by 10 sheffield wednesday players who by are playing with no heart, no ambition and who according to Maddy the most mental owl on here whos view I truly respect are playing so AWFUL that the ballboy could get a game.

It makes no difference because one of my threads was about Laws being a yes man.
At the moment Wednesay don't look like a good career move for anyone, unless it is loan signing.

Do you think so ? if Wednesday said they were to buy players x,y and z and had a realistic chance of promotion would n't that encourage fans to buy a season ticket? off course it would.
If your team shows ambition some fans want to get excited about this and show their support by buying a season ticket.
If on the other hand your team is going nowhere with all sorts of problems then you get disillusioned and think twice about parting with your money.

craig1976
06-08-2007, 08:13
No.. If we bought x, y and z then yes ppl would have confidence in the club and be more likely to make a season long commitment, but not transfer rumours. Do you know one person who has ever bought a season ticket because of been linked with a player?

Have to agree. Have had a seaon ticket but have not renewed it this year as I can not see any progress having been made.

Plus the thought of the players I enjoy watching either gone or about to go( if rumours are right) have stopped me from parting with my hard earned cash.

Out of eight of us who had season tickets four have not renewed. If this pattern is across the board then it is a worrying sign

As for Wednesday not being a big club! now thats laughable, The Owls ARE a big club, always have been and always will be. It's you're deckchair-wearing fans that dream they could ever be as big and famous and have as much respect as Wednesday.

United are known nationally as a whinging, moaning, relegated, unpopular, unattractive so-called-football club, now they've got Robson at the helm ( Mr Inspiration himself! ) it all adds to a pathetic small-time club trying it's best to be big.

NOT SWFC STAFF!! but what made me laugh was when the temp ticket office opened in the sports hall, they put 4 extra (asked by swfc) on duty... for the rush of season tickets due to be sold due to the office being closed and dead line dates etc.... there still waiting for the rush to start.:hihi:

We'll end up with someone like Nathan Ellington maybe with Brian Laws trying to convince us that he is a proven striker. I would have liked Lee Trundle, though Laws was putting all his efforts into signing Billy Sharpe when Trundle moved.

Hmmmm it may not tempt people to buy one as an off chance. But it may sway people who was thinking of maybe not renewing. Who would you rather be linked with, Carlos Tevez or Carl Muggleton?

The owls once were a big club, now they are not, they are only a big club in the eyes of a few dillusional supporters like yourself.
People are not renewing season tickets and they are in disarray on and off the field.
Before when you told people you were from Sheffield they asked if you supported the owls, Now you are asked if you are a Blade so as for not being as big and famous as wednesday, we are now :P

Now to address your comments on the Blades...
you say...United are known nationally as a whinging, moaning, relegated, unpopular, unattractive so-called-football club.
Hate to burst your bubble but thats only on the blue side of Sheffield , Everyone I talk to and that includes a few west Ham fans all say we were cheated and if we are so unpopular and unattractive how did we manage to get Billy Sharp ( Think your bigger club wanted him didnt they ? ) Lee Hendrie and James Beattie  WOW we spent a quarter of what you owe the bank to get those players and we didnt even bat an eyelid but, thats right you are still a big club and bigger than us now :loopy:
Lastly, I am glad you mentioned Robbo. TBH whatever manager we got in you lot would have a go at him because its the only straw left to grasp at, we are a bigger and better club off the field , on the field infact in every facet of how a football club should be ran at the moment.
I was unsure when they announced Robbo as the manager, now with all the players he has brought in and hes p*ssed you off, I know hes the man for the job :hihi::hihi:
